German-born Rob Thiele raced various European racing series including Fiesta ST Cup, Mini Challenge, as well as Castrol-Haugg-Cup, VLN Endurance Racing and 24h-Racing at the German Nuerburgring Nordschleife, before moving to New England and competing in SCCA racing starting end 2007.
Career highlights include the class win in Nuerburgring 24h 2006, global BMW Sports Trophy awards for independent BMW drivers 2008 (25th) and 2009 (11th) and 2nd place finishes in ITR in Pro IT Series (2008, 2009 and 2010) and NARRC (2008, 2009) and first place in NJRRS (2008, 2009).
The BMW enthusiast races the green tiger striped BMWMotorSportCollection.com 3-Series race car in memory of his racing experience at the ferocious "Green Hell" of the Nuerburgring.
